Kate is a full-scope Certified Nurse Midwife in Alexandria, Virginia, meaning that she provides gynecologic, preconception, prenatal, birth, and postpartum care. She currently catches babies at a local hospital, as she believes that both "low risk" and "high risk" pregnancies deserve midwifery care. She is also a strong supporter of birth centers and home births for those that choose them.

Kate has worked in the pregnancy and birth world for 7 years and couldn't imagine doing anything else. Kate received her undergraduate degree from University of Maryland and her graduate degree from Vanderbilt University.
